Zhou Hongbo Meets with Governor of Kazakhstan's Atyrau Region

7月7日，市委书记周红波会见来访的哈萨克斯坦阿特劳州州长沙普肯诺夫一行。

On July 7th, Zhou Hongbo, Secretary of the CPC Nanjing Municipal Committee, met with Shapkenov, Governor of Atyrau Region of Kazakhstan.

近年来，在两国元首的战略引领下，中哈合作成就斐然，南京与哈萨克斯坦经贸往来、交流交往密切。

In recent years, under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, bilateral cooperation between China and Kazakhstan has yielded remarkable achievements, and Nanjing and Kazakhstan have maintained close cooperation in trade, economy, and people-to-people ties.

双方表示，哈萨克斯坦是习近平主席共建“一带一路”倡议的首倡之地，阿特劳州资源禀赋突出，南京是“一带一路”交汇点重要枢纽城市，双方合作前景广阔。将深入落实两国元首重要共识，充分发挥中国—中亚贸易畅通合作平台优势，拓展绿色能源、农业、化工、智能制造等领域合作，深化友城交往，共谱互利合作新篇章，助力中哈永久全面战略伙伴关系发展。

The two sides agreed that, Kazakhstan is the place where President Xi Jinping for the first time proposed the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). Atyrau Region possesses rich resource endowment, while Nanjing serves as an important converging hub along the Belt and Road, and the two sides enjoy broad prospects for future cooperation. We will implement the important consensus reached by two heads of state, give full play to China-Central Asia Trade Facilitation and Cooperation Platform, expand cooperation in such areas as green energy, agriculture, chemical industry and smart manufacturing, deepen sister-city exchanges, open a new chapter in the mutually beneficial cooperation, and jointly advance the China-Kazakhstan Permanent Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
